Hand Balancing & Canes Workshop with Macey Rigdon

Join us for this dynamic, multi-level workshop working on the fundamentals of a handstand. Students will work on strength and shaping exercises to help them find balance in a handstand. Whether you’re just starting or aiming to refine your skills, our workshop caters to all levels of expertise. Elevate your practice with a diverse range of handstand variations, tailored to challenge and inspire, as you progress towards the thrilling pinnacle of handstands on canes.

Pre-requisite: Ability to confidently hold a handstand against a wall.

Experience a taste of all the exciting classes we offer at Ancient City Aerial Arts! Whether you’re new to our studio or a returning student eager to try something different, this event is perfect for you. Join us for mini sessions in Dance it Out, Silks, Handstands, Lyra, Flexibility, and Bellydance. Afterwards, enjoy some refreshments. Open to adults and kids ages 8 and up! Just $10!

Summer Circus Camp

Summer Circus Camp

Enroll your child in a camp like no other, our Youth Summer Circus Camp! Every day is full of fun and exciting circus games, aerial arts, performance opportunities, expression, creativity, and friendship building! Sign up soon as spots are limited!

Ages: 8-17

June 17-20 July 22-25

SCHEDULE:

  • We ask all parents to please arrive at 8:50 am on the first day to meet the coaches.
  • Drop off: from 8:50 am to 9:00 am
  • Pick up: from 2:55 pm to 3:05 pm

There will be no daycare after camp ends. We kindly ask all parents to please PICK UP KIDDOS ON TIME. Our instructors need time to prepare for the regular evening class schedule.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Lunch
  • Snacks (we will have 2 10-15 minute snack breaks throughout the day)
  • Towel for sweat
  • Pair of medium-length socks (for trapeze and lyra classes, to protect feet and ankles)

WHAT TO WEAR:

  • Fitted activewear such as yoga pants/leggings/workout shorts with tights under it
  • Fitted shirts/ sports bra and shirt on top of it
  • Leotard and leggings/tights under it
  • Leggings under shorts are a good option

Clothing should cover: the back of knees, ribcage, and legs fully (to avoid silk burn/rope burn/ skin scrape)

*NO JEWELRY, FITBITS, or ZIPPERS (to avoid snagging the silks and hammocks)
